Questions

Does Duckie diagnose separation anxiety?

No. Duckie analyses observable behaviour such as movement, posture and vocalisation to help you understand what happens while your dog is alone. It isn't veterinary advice: for a diagnosis or medication, talk to your vet.

Do I need a special camera?

No. An old phone works. Prop it where your dog spends time alone and open Duckie in its browser.

Does Duckie record video?

No video is uploaded. The phone analyses the camera itself and sends one small still image a second, so you can look back at what happened. Stills are deleted after 30 days, except the few seconds around moments Duckie flags.

What happens if my dog becomes distressed?

Duckie can alert you when behaviour reaches the threshold you set, so you can come back before it escalates.

Can I use Duckie with a trainer?

Yes. Sessions and progress can be reviewed or shared, so your trainer sees what actually happened.
